KD.Org has been a lot busier this month! We are very excited about the UK release of How To Lose Friends, hopefully we will be attending the premiere too! Loads more goodies coming up.... Jess x

Apologies that there was no newsletter last month (Tut tut Jess!). Here's a round-up of all the Kirsten related news from July and August.

KIRSTEN NEWS

Single Stroke = Strokes guitartist Albert Hammond Jr previewed songs from his second 'solo' album "Como Te Llama" at a private show at the Mercury Lounge in New York on July 1st. Kirsten, model Agyness Deyn, and Smashing Pumpkins guitarist James Iha were among the specially invited audience.

August In July! = On July 9th Kirsten attended the after party for the New York special screening of the film "August".

Busy Bee Kirsten = Earlier that same evening Kirsten was present at the opening reception for "a New Hive" at the Earnest Sewn flagship store in New York.

303 Kiki = Kirsten attended 303 Gallery's 25th Anniversary Summer Celebration Party in New York on July 23rd.

Let's Have A (Pool) Party = On July 27th Kirsten attended JellyNYC's Pool Party at McCarren Park Pool in New York. The event featured performances by bands MGMT, Black Moth Super Rainbow, and The Ting Tings.

Stand Up To Cancer = Kirsten is one of a host of celebrities who will be taking part in an hour long telethon on September 5th in aid of cancer research. "Stand Up To Cancer" will air on ABC, CBS and NBC and is being organised by Spider-Man producer Laura Ziskin.

Dining In Denver = On August 27th Kirsten and her friend Liat attended the Impact Film Festival & MySpace Impact SAG Dinner at 5 Degrees in Denver.

MOVIE NEWS

US "How To Lose Friends" Trailer Released = The US trailer for "How To Lose Friends & Alienate People" was released in July.

All Good Things End = Filming of "All Good Things" was completed at the end of June. It's rumoured that the film may be released as soon as the end of this year or very early next year.

Welcome To Palm Springs = Kirstens directorial debut short film "Welcome" was screened at the 2008 Palm Springs Shortfest on August 23rd. Kirsten attended the screening and also took part in a group discussion and an audience question and answer session.

UPCOMING EVENTS

As mentioned above Kirsten will be appearing at the "Stand Up For Cancer" telethon on September 5th.

The World Premiere of "How To Lose Friends & Alienate People" will be held at the Empire Cinema, Leicester Square in London on September 24th, and Kirsten will be attending.

There has been no confirmation of a US Premiere for "How To Lose Friends" yet but we believe it will be held in either Los Angeles or New York at the end of September.

We believe Kirsten will be appearing on several US talk shows, during the week commencing September 29th, to promote "How To Lose Friends & Alienate People".
