Kirsten Dunst & Orlando Bloom have joined Clive Owen & Anil Kapoor in acclaimed director/writer Roger Donaldson’s next directing project titled Cities.

The international thriller is being produced by Matthew Metcalfe (Dean Spanley, Love Birds) & Chris Curling (Hannibal Rising, The Last Station).

Julie Christie, Eyeworks New Zealand CEO, will executive produce alongside Eyeworks New Zealand who will partner on the production. Lisa Wilson’s Parlay Films is handling international rights to the film that is set to lens in Spring 2012. The film will shoot in multiple cities that will include London, Mumbai & New York.

Cities reunites Dunst & Bloom who first appeared together in Cameron Crowe’s indie comedy Elizabethtown in 2005. Kirsten Dunst joins the cast in the role of “Kate” alongside Clive Owen. Dunst most recently won the Best Actress award at the Cannes Film Festival for her role in Lars von Trier’s Melancholia. She was nominated for a Golden Globe for her supporting actress role in Interview With The Vampire & appeared in Spider-Man 1, 2 & 3 opposite Tobey Maguire. Her additional credits include Sofia Coppola’s The Virgin Suicides & Marie Antoinette as well as Bring It On, Little Women & the romantic comedy Wimbledon.

Bloom is currently filming Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey marking the fourth time the film director & actor have worked together – Bloom also appeared in the blockbuster Lord Of The Rings trilogy. Bloom’s credits include the record breaking Pirates Of The Caribbean movies 1, 2 & 3 & he can currently be seen in the highly anticipated The Three Musketeers.

Last night the US premiere for “Melancholia” was held at Alice Tully Hall in New York as part of the New York Film Festival. Kirsten attended the premiere along with her co-stars Charlotte Gainsbourg & Alexander Skarsgard. Kirsten looked lovely in a black Chloe gown. I’ve added 30 pics to the gallery & we’ll be adding more pics later today.

Last night Kirsten attended the UK premiere of “Melancholia” at the Curzon Mayfair cinema in London. Also attending were her co-stars John Hurt & Cameron Spurr. Kirstens friends Simon Pegg & Leith Clark also attended the premiere & I think I saw fashion designer Ozwald Boateng too. Kirsten looked gorgeous in a paisley printed silk organza dress from the Honor Spring 2012 Collection. I’ll post my report of the premiere at the forum later today but I would like to say a massive thank you to the lovely lady who managed to get my photo autographed by Kirsten.
